Nickel and Dimed 2

Barbara Ehenriech uses humor in her secodn chunk of the book to feel that the people arent just work slaves but regular people that are just living life the best as they can becuase of there hard working lives not just provide for them but becuase of the workers they wouldnt be able to run a certain buisnnes like walmart or traget becuase it needs workers to maintian a certain facility up and running . its like a cuase and effect people. without customers there wotn be no workers and without workers there wont be any thing done or everything will be unorganized and chaotic.

Nickel and Dimed Part 1

Barbara Ehenriech first chunk helps me analayze that the book makes me want to feel sympathetic towards hard working people becuase its not that there lazy workewrs its just that some of the people that make america just dont get the chance to have the oppurtinities that we have to be able to work hand in hand with doctors in a special careers program that my schol- king drew medical magnet high school- has and being able to go to college with special reccomendations from our teachers while they (workers of america) just have to find low paying jobs working hard but with minimun wage to try to feed themselves and there families.

Dissasembly Line

In Don Peck's 2009 Article Dissasembly Line examines the ups and downs of th dissasembling (closing down) of the Ford Plant in Hapeville,Atlanta. Closing down of the Ford Plant caused about 2,500 people to lose their job. Loseing won job creates 3 more jobs for someone else. It begins to take effect becuase once they closed down the plant they had to hire more people to demolish the site and get money from all of the metal that they recycled. Last year it was a company called Jacob Group but the land for atleast 40 million dollars. having to build new bubildings and creating more jobs for more people, and once the building is finished than that company is gona hire more people to work and keep the system rolling so we can stay out of reccesion.

Stiff Questions

Are your parents going to donate their body to science?

How do you feel about donating your body to science after reading this book, do you find yourself disgusted, amazed, etc? Are u ging to donate yor body to science?

STIFF chunk #3

In the next 55 pages of Mary Roach's Stiff she describes to herself the diffrent ways of the uses of human cadavers and their "exeptfullness" or "usefullness" of how they can be used or how they are being used to advance our reasearch and how they come to help human society. Mary Roach gives us examples and details to give us thoughts and give ourselves questions to make us belive if we shold be able to donate our own bodies to science. She lets us have a train of thought. it makes me think, "if I donate my body to science than i am "helping" man kind or if i donate my body i am just letting them "abuse" my body becuase we dont "feel" pain as Mary roach said in chapter 4 Dead Man Driving , "there is oen thing dead people do excel at, there very good at handling pain. Mary Roach makes herself have these thoughts, becuase of what she has seen science "capable" of.

STIFF CHUNK #2

In the next 55 pages of Mary Roach's Stiff she explains the great use of human cadavers. The ways of how it helps us living humans in ways that some people might not know of. She also gives very interesting discriptions and examples of diffrent ways human cadavers are used or were onced used as human crash dummies and how they would figure out if the car wold be safe enough to be drivin otu o nthe street. It show how vital it can be that without this informatin we maybe would be driving in very dangerous cars were we ca be killed just by the stering wheel. Mary Roach gives out interesting details that not just make you want to read her book but it gives you the interest of continuing reading her book. It makes me interested.
